Services and facilities

FLIC operates as a fully open-access core facility. All instruments are available for self-service use by trained users. Our goal is to provide flexible, independent access to state-of-the-art instrumentation, supported by expert guidance when needed. We do not run samples or perform sorting on behalf of users — instead, we invest in training and support so that users can operate instruments confidently and independently.

Service categories

FLIC offers two service tiers for flow cytometry analysers, cell sorters, confocal microscopy, and IncuCyte:

  • DIY (Do It Yourself) — fully independent user-operated sessions, no staff involvement
  • Assisted — user-operated session with staff support at 400 DKK/hour (DTU internal) or 1,200 DKK/hour (external)

For the 10x Genomics Chromium X and BD Rhapsody, only DIY access is available. No staff support is provided for these instruments. Users must supply their own kits and reagents.
