Pricing
FLIC operates as a fully open-access core facility. All instruments are available for self-service use by trained users. Our goal is to provide flexible, independent access to state-of-the-art instrumentation, supported by expert guidance when needed. We do not run samples or perform sorting on behalf of users — instead, we invest in training and support so that users can operate instruments confidently and independently.
All rates are in DKK (Danish Kroner) and are valid from 01/04/2025 until further notice.
FLIC operates two pricing tiers:
- DTU internal — all DTU personnel regardless of position or department (project number required for invoicing)
- External — other academic institutions, private companies, and industry partners (invoicing arrangements confirmed at registration)
Rates will be reviewed in April/May 2026. Any changes will be communicated in advance and updated on this page.

IncuCyte note: Only the instrument booking session is invoiced. Post-acquisition data processing and remote software access are free of charge.
These instruments are available on a DIY basis only. Users must supply their own kits and reagents. The bench fee covers instrument access and associated workstation use for the booked session. Users may run the instrument multiple times within a single booking.

The following optional services are available for the FACSMelody, FACSAria Fusion, and FACSDiscover S8. Add-on charges are applied in addition to the standard DIY hourly rate.

Premium full sterile setup must be requested at least 2 weeks in advance.
The external premium price reflects fixed materials costs (BD filter: 4,500 DKK + sterile PBS: 900 DKK) plus staff time at the external assisted rate.
- Minimum booking unit: 1 hour for all instruments
- Booked time is invoiced in full regardless of actual usage — if 2 hours are booked and the user arrives after 1 hour, 2 hours are invoiced
- If no subsequent booking follows your session, additional instrument time beyond the booked slot may be used and will be charged by the minute
- This per-minute billing applies to flow cytometry analysers and cell sorters, as instrument usage is tracked through the booking system

DTU internal users:
- A valid DTU project number must be provided at registration
- Usage is invoiced against the project number provided
- Invoicing frequency: contact the facility for details
External users:
- Invoicing arrangements are confirmed at the time of registration
- The following information is required before the first session:
- Company or institution name
- Main billing address
- Contact person for invoicing
- Description of services required
- External invoicing is handled through DTU's finance department
